A turnkey service project that gives every new parent the tools to build a stronger child.

The science is clear: what happens in a child’s first three years shapes the brain for life. The Brain Game puts that science into parents’ hands—and your organization or business can be the reason a family in your community receives it.

Adopt The Brain Game as an organizational project or corporate social responsibility initiative, fundraise to purchase copies, and partner with a local hospital or human services organization to place a free book in the hands of every new parent and caregiver of a child ages 0–3.

What Is The Brain Game?

The Brain Game is an 84-page resource guide for parents and caregivers of children from birth to 36 months. Developed and recommended by physicians, it explains, in plain, encouraging language, what’s happening inside a baby’s brain during each stage of the first three years, and gives specific, hands-on activities parents can do to help their child thrive.

The first 36 months are the most critical window for brain development. In that time a child’s brain more than doubles in size, and its “wiring” goes into high gear. Simple things like talking, singing, playing music, and reading together make a lasting difference. The Brain Game shows parents exactly how and helps them feel more confident in one of the most important jobs they’ll ever have.

The book was created through a collaborative community effort led by the Rotary Club of La Crosse – Downtown—because our children are our future.

Why Sponsor The Brain Game

It’s proven. The Brain Game began with the Rotary Club of La Crosse, which recruited a local university, two medical centers, and the school district onto a coordinating committee. Together they built a system where a free copy reaches every new mother giving birth in the two local hospitals — two former competitors who saw the wisdom in cooperating, with great publicity for both.

It’s turnkey. All the support materials are done for you. You don’t have to build a program from scratch: you order books, rally a local partner, and share them with families.

It has built-in partners. Physicians, hospitals, medical societies, and educators are natural stakeholders who readily buy in. This makes fundraising and outreach easier.

It’s flexible. The Brain Game can stand alone as a signature project or bolt onto programs you already run. Hospital auxiliaries, family-serving agencies, and health organizations all make ideal collaborators.

It changes lives. Every book helps a child grow with a better chance to succeed, and helps a parent or caregiver feel more capable and supported.
